The five-story Urasenke Center was built in 1979 to consolidate the various administrative offices and research facilities which provide support for Konnichian. Located along the wide thoroughfare Horikawa-dori, to the west of the historical compound, it houses the offices of the Urasenke Foundation and Urasenke Tankokai Federation, the Chado Research Center and Center Galleries, and the Konnichian Library. On the ground floor is a multi-purpose hall. On the fifth floor is the Kyoshin’an temple.
