We respectfully announce that a farewell assembly (owakare-no-kai) for Genshitsu Sen (Urasenke former iemoto Hōunsai Sōshō), who passed away at the age of 102 on August 14, 2025, will be held as detailed below.

Please come in mourning or dark business attire, and at any time during the set hours detailed above. This Farewell Assembly will be conducted as a Flower Offering service, and there will be no formal ceremony. We kindly request your cooperation with mask wearing and temperature checks upon entry. The ICC Kyoto parking lot will be closed due to construction, and we expect that automobile congestion is likely to occur. Therefore, we kindly ask for your cooperation in using public transportation.
