The aims of this non-profit organization are to promote chado internationally and contribute to international
goodwill. Towards these ends, the organization, whose president is SEN Masako (wife of SEN Soshitsu XVI)
and chairman is SEN Soshitsu XVI, is mainly involved in projects
for introducing chado overseas; activities to properly introduce chado to the foreign community in Japan; the
sponsoring of lecture programs regarding chado and its related arts and traditions; and engaging in chado publicity
projects. |
