| Daisosho SEN Genshitsu was in Rome the week of September 21-27, 2009, for a series of special events. On Wednesday, September 23, he had the honor of receiving a special audience with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican, following the 10:30 A.M. Wednesday General Audience at which approximately 5,000 people from all corners of the world were assembled. Fr. WADA Makoto, the representative in Rome of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Japan, helped arrange for Daisosho to receive the special audience, and was his escort. |
