On February 2, 2003, at 1:05 A.M., IZUMI Soko Masakazu, the younger brother of Grand Master Zabosai SEN Soshitsu XVI, died of kidney failure in a hospital in Kyoto. He was forty-four years old. His latest main professional positions were as follows:
