Urasenke Gakuen Professional Chado College Spring 2002 Entrance Ceremony

The entrance ceremony for the Spring 2002 in-coming students at the Urasenke Gakuen Professional Chado College (Principal, SEN Soshi; Vice Principal, SEN Masako) took place on April 8, 2002. The in-coming students, who include those constituting the 41st class in the three-year chado course, those entering the one-year course which was initiated in 2001, those of the three-month research course, and those of the Midorikai course for English-speaking students from abroad, totaled 31.
   Grand Master SEN Soshitsu XV addressed them, urging them to devote themselves body and soul to the strict training they will receive. Principal SEN Soshi stated that they should realize that they are connected in one way or another to everyone at Urasenke, and it is important for them to sincerely feel gratitude and respect toward everyone with whom they are in contact.
   Following this there were addresses by Vice Principal SEN Masako and IZUMI Soko, and then the students' spokesperson declared the students' promise to dedicate themselves to their training.
